Biographical

Beth Bertelson has over 25 years of experience as a certified mediator in private practice.  Beth is also on the American Arbitration Association panel as a mediator and arbitrator. Beth has been designated as a qualified neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice for the District Courts.  Beth has received honors including, but not limited to: SuperLawyers for 20 years, Top 50 Women and U.S. News Best Lawyers.

Beth Bertelson is a MSBA Certified Employment Law Specialist.  She has over 35 years of labor and employment law practice.  Beth has extensive experience and knowledge in employment law including but not limited to pre-litigation and litigation mediations and advocacy involving discrimination, retaliation, and employment agreements, and other employment related issues. Beth also conducts neutral, prompt workplace investigations. 

Admitted to practice in Minnesota, she is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. Highly regarded by her peers, Ms. Bertelson has received a 10.0 "Superb" rating from Avvo.

Beth stays abreast of current developments in her field through her active participation in the Minnesota State and Hennepin County bar associations.  She has written several articles on employment matters and is frequently asked to speak before groups of fellow professionals. Beth has provided pro bono services to the Federal Court, Minnesota Department of Human Rights and Minneapolis Civil Rights Department. She has also served as a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association Employment Labor Section and has been a board member for several non-profit organizations.

Beth is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Hennepin County Bar Association, and the Eighth Circuit Bar Association.

When not practicing law, Beth spends time with her family, mountain and road bikes, cross county and downhill skis.
